Entry Level Competitive Coach, or ELCC certification is the first step on the path to professional, High Performance Coaching. As an ELCC coach, you likely lead a group of young athletes, paddling small boats, and dedicated to developing their skills toward National and International success. 

ELCC Fee: $195 ($125 Course fee, $50 Evaluation Fee, $20 NCCP Database Admin Fee)

14-16 hours class room and practical teaching time
2 Hour 'In-Practice' evaluation.

Prerequisites: 

16 yrs of Age to Register for the Course
Completion of 'Competition Introduction' Theory Modules:

  • Making Ethical Decisions
  • Plan A Practice
  • Nutrition
  • Teaching and Learning

    Modules are offered by the Province, and may in some cases be completed via home study, or online. Find and Register HERE
     
Required before Evaluation:
  • Making Ethical Decisions - Online Evaluation - Free; Register through www.coach.ca
     
  • Small Craft Operator Card (required by law) Register here, or check with ADCKC for our annual course.

ELCC Certification meets the requirements for War Canoe coxswains in ADCKC Qualifying, and the CKC national Championships. There are no exceptions given under the certification rules.
