Please join us in welcoming Emma-Anne Kehoe as the Operations Coordinator at the Atlantic Division! This new position is designed to fit the evolving operations of ADCKC, member Clubs, and our many sport and community partners. We are incredibly excited about what Emma will bring to the Team and the Division as we move forward.

A Punamu'kwati'jk (Dartmouth) local, Emma (she/her) began paddling recreationally at Senobe Aquatic Club at 11 years old. She quickly fell in love with being on the water and continued kayaking as a high performance athlete out of Cheema Aquatic Club until 2011. Emma has coached U10 athletes, managed summer recreation programs, and volunteered with major canoe kayak events, including the 2009 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships and NAIG in 2023.

Outside of canoe kayak, Emma’s work has primarily been in the non-profit sector, supporting a wide range of programming for diverse audiences both locally and internationally. With a master's degree in education and a strong background in program design, facilitation, and evaluation, Emma’s work has revolved around improving community programming and partnering on equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) initiatives. Emma is thrilled to bring her experience to ADCKC and to support creating inclusive, safe spaces for youth and adults in our sport.

Emma brings with her a passion for sport and outdoor recreation and enjoys spending her time on the water in a kayak, on a SUP board, or surfing. If not at the lake (or ocean), you can find her out running, practicing yoga, taking care of her many house plants, exploring nature by hiking, or curled up reading a book in a sunny spot with her kitten Nova!

Emma still paddles recreationally on Lake Banook and is excited to be closer to the sport than ever!
