First Annual Eskasoni Paddling Festival
This weekend the first annual Eskasoni paddling festival took place. Athletes, spectators and paddling enthusiasts convened at Crane Cove in Eskasoni First Nation for a full weekend of paddling activities, races, yoga, and more.
The paddlers were treated with great hospitality and beautiful weather throughout. Events included a sunset paddle, racing, and more.
The winners for races:
Youth female: Kaylei Denny
Youth male: Eric “Dante” Stevens
Senior Male (8 km): Alex Canning, Banook
Senior Female (8 km): Alexa Irvin, Maskwa
Open SUP (8km): Peter Korisanszky, Banook
Krystall MacLeod from Breathing Space Cape Breton hosted a Yoga workout for all participants.
